David Poems

When my son died, I started writing poems using his name as an acronym.

Here are some of these:

Did you have to go away?
All I wanted was for you to stay
Vanished in a moment of time
I weep and wail and pine
Dreading each day.

December was the month of your birth
A gift from God you came to earth
Vibrant and unafraid you lived your life
In spite of evil toil and strife
Death snatched you away
